Forward calls on iPhone and Android
Call forwarding sends calls to your number on to another number. You turn it on in your phone's settings or with a code from your phone company, and you change neither number, subscription nor phone company.
Forward calls on iPhone
- Open Settings and tap Apps → Phone. On iOS 17 and earlier: Settings → Phone.
- Tap Call Forwarding and turn Call Forwarding on.
- Enter the number the calls should go to, and go back.
The iPhone's own setting forwards every call straight away, and the phone doesn't ring.
It only works if your phone company supports it. If you can't see Call Forwarding, use your phone company's code below.
To forward calls only when you don't answer or are on the phone, use your phone company's codes below. The iPhone's setting can't do that.
Forward calls on Android
Open the Phone app, tap the menu (⋮) and choose Settings. Call forwarding is usually under Calling accounts, Supplementary services or More settings, and the names vary between makes. There you can often choose when calls should go on.
If you can't see the menu, or it doesn't work, use your phone company's code. It works on any phone.
Three kinds of forwarding
- When you don't answer. The call goes on when nobody answers. Start here: you still take the calls you can get to.
- When you're on the phone. The call goes on when the line is busy.
- All calls. Every call goes on straight away, and the phone doesn't ring.
How to use the codes
- Find the number the calls should go to. Use the 8 digits without +45.
- Find your phone company below, and choose when the calls should go on.
- Dial the code on the phone that has your number, with the number in place of <number>, and press call.
- Call your number from another phone, and check that the call arrives in the right place.
- To stop again, dial the code under “Turn off”.

Questions about call forwarding
Can I forward only the calls I don't answer?
Yes. It's called forwarding on no answer. Use the code under “When you don't answer” for your phone company. The iPhone's own setting forwards every call, so it can't do this. If your phone company has no code here, call them and ask for it.
How do I turn call forwarding off?
Dial the code under “Turn off” for your phone company, and press call. If you turned it on in the iPhone's settings, turn Call Forwarding off in the same place. Never dial ##002#, because it deletes all your forwarding, including the one to your voicemail.
Does call forwarding cost anything?
It depends on your phone company and your subscription. Check the company's price list, or ask them, before you turn it on.
Do the codes work on both iPhone and Android?
Yes. The codes belong to the phone company, not the phone, so they work on any mobile phone. Dial them in the Phone app, and press call.
How forwarding to Callster works
With Callster, you forward your own number to your AI co-worker's number, which you get during set-up. Customers call you as they always do.
If you don't answer, Callster answers, books appointments and sends you a short message about what needs you. Afterwards the call is under “Conversations” in the console.
